Sliding head mill/turn centre has subspindle
CNC sliding headstock 7-axis mill/turn centre - selling for half the price of a conventional CNC sliding headstock lathe - incorporates a subspindle, C-axis to each spindle.
EMO 2005 will be the springboard for the world launch of the very competitively priced Dugard Eagle 32 CNC sliding headstock 7-axis mill/turn centre. The machine, selling for half the price of a conventional CNC sliding headstock lathe, incorporates a subspindle, C-axis to each spindle, Y-axis crossfeed and standard features such as polygon turning, three metre barfeed, parts-catcher and chip conveyor in a ready-to-run package. Alongside the sliding headstock lathe, C Dugard of Hove is showing under power a Dugard Eagle 300, 45 deg slant bed lathe with 22kW drive having a 77mm bar capacity, 315mm chuck and cutting diameter of 450mm by 700mm cutting length.
The lathes will be complemented with a new look higher specification Dugard Eagle 1000 vertical machining centre and a very competitively priced, top-selling Mini Mill now with 8.5kW spindle giving 8,000 rev/min.
The machine specification also includes options of 10,000, 12,000 or 15,000 rev/min and rapid traverse rates are 36m/min.
