Complete mill/turn package costs under GBP 40,000
'Ready to run' mill/turn package comprises a four-axis, 26mm capacity CNC sliding headstock model with Y-axis, 3m barfeed, parts-catcher and chip conveyor for under GBP 40,000.
A totally new four-axis, 26 mm capacity CNC sliding headstock mill/drill with Y-axis configured lathe makes its debut on the UK market providing new levels of value for money in small precision part mill/turning. The ready to run machine package comprises automatic three metre barfeed, parts-catcher and chip conveyor for under GBP 40,000. The Dugard Eagle 25, now available from C Dugard of Hove in Sussex, is built on a high quality iron casting and utilises a servo-driven counter balanced sliding headstock design carried on high specification linear guideways.
This ensures excellent stability for precise milling and turning operations and with a full C-axis spindle, can provide in-process contouring and integrated milling and drilling operations in a single cycle.
The maximum turning diameter is 26mm with a Z-axis longitudinal travel of 165mm.
The spindle is powered by a 3.5kW, 6,000 rev/min motor and up to 18 tool positions are available to maximise flexibility when setting.
Up to six 12mm shank or five larger 16 mm shank tools are carried as standard on an 'over-the-spindle' tool slide.
However, an axial milling attachment provides an additional five stationary and three driven tool positions available for end working and the provision of a radial milling attachment means that a further four driven tool positions are available for machining external features on a component.
Each of the driven tool positions are fully programmable up to 6,000 rev/min.
