Moving table milling centre has high power
Large moving-table, fixed gantry, milling centre for high-power machining features high torque at the spindle - 75kW and over 2500Nm - for high metal removal rates.
Alert in meeting requirements from the most technologically advanced markets and re-confirming the tradition of innovation that distinguishes its entire range of products, Jobs introduces JomaX 261: the new moving-table milling centre for high-power machining with high torque at the spindle. Joining the already consolidated JomaX 265 model, JomaX 261 completes the line of JomaX products from Piacenza, Italy. The machine has been specifically designed to perform machining operations involving large removal volumes, for applications in high-precision general engineering, energy sector, and heavy engineering in general as well as for large-size die machining.
Perfectly in line with the tradition of Jobs products, JomaX 261 presents a medium-large fixed gantry configuration with single or double moving table, which can be easily customized to meet end users' specific needs.
A particularly interesting solution is the double-table configuration offering remarkable dimensional and loading capabilities up to 50 tonnes and enabling two pieces to be worked by pendular machining.
Other noteworthy solutions include synchronized operation and workpiece change in masked time.
The JomaX 261 harmonious design was studied down to the smallest detail to enable Jobs customers to exploit both high power and spindle torque (up to 75kW and 2,500Nm and over) and high performance dynamics, which is at the leading edge for this machine class.
The result is an innovative, high-performance milling centre whose main features include: - high dynamics in terms of acceleration and speed - structural rigidity - high-volume removal capability - precision - high productivity - flexibility - high configurability - compactness.
As with all Jobs products, a wide range of accessories is also available for JomaX 261.
These are incorporated into the machine's structure, allowing best flexibility of use in the most diverse application environments.
JomaX 261 has a built-in automatic head changing system (BUSS), the same equipping the entire range of Jobs products.
It supports different spindle head types: 3-axis milling/boring heads of various diameters and lengths designed to get straight into the bored holes and to employ short boring bars and small working radiuses; non-standard shape squared heads designed to overcome typical limitations when performing those milling operations close to the table plane; universal heads with electrospindle up to 27,000 rev/min.
The technical specifications of the new JomaX 261 are as follows: - 3-, 3+2-, 4-, 5-axis mechanically driven milling heads with power up to 75kW, - high speed 5-axis milling heads with interchangeable spindle motors up to 27,000 rev/min, - automatic head changing system (BUSS option), - X-Y-Z axes, conventional traction system, with high-rigidity guides sliding on preloaded roller blocks - modular rack-type tool magazines with wide capacity (up to 271 places), prearranged for automatic tool-change on any type of milling head, including angular heads.
Great care was taken in minimizing the overall dimensions of JomaX 261 resulting in maximum compactness of the machine without sacrificing its ergonomics nor its easy loading/unloading feature.
The operator's control panel can be equipped with a screen that is connected to a closed-circuit video camera providing constant monitoring of the machining operations.
