Latest CNC offers 160% higher NC performance
Latest version of a CNC, when used with an integrated PLC, provides approximately 160% higher numerical control performance and 300% PLC performance over previous versions.
Siemens Energy and Automation has unveiled the new Sinumerik 840D NCU 573.5 for increased performance and user productivity. When used with the integrated PLC 317-2DP, this new NCU provides users with approximately 160% higher numerical control performance and 300% PLC performance over previous versions, as well as more CNC user memory. The NCU system software can run on the NCU 573.5 when run from software release version 6.5 or higher.
When expanded to the maximum, the NCU 573.5 controls 31 axes/spindles and 10 channels/10 mode groups.
The Sinumerik 840D is a sophisticated CNC system that offers a wide range of specialized functions for milling, drilling, turning, grinding and handling technologies.
Its capabilities also include nibbling, punching and laser-machining technologies.
The Sinumerik 840D also offers users innovative features that increase productivity on the manufacturing floor, especially the challenging segments of high-speed and 5-axis aerospace machining.
