High-voltage supplies improve X-ray imaging
X-ray power supplies for NDT applications offer output voltages up to 450kV at a maximum power of 4.5kW all with single-phase input with power factor correction.
Photon Power Technology introduces the latest range of X-ray power supplies for NDT applications from Universal Voltronics Corporation. The XRC series is available in both unipolar and bipolar format giving output voltages up to 450kV at a maximum power of 4.5kW all with single-phase input with power factor correction. With a low ripple of better than 0.1% and high voltage stability of 0.05%, these supplies give the user excellent imaging results and reputability required in critical applications such as the inspection of aircraft castings and welds.
All models feature both analogue and RS232 interface and can be used with UVC's proprietary LabView control offering full control over all aspect of the high voltage and filament parameters.
In addition, the software provides extensive diagnostics for system monitoring and fault-finding.
Standard features include automatic ramp up of high voltage and emission current, short circuit and arc protection, low stored energy and over voltage protection.
The XRC series is just one of a wide range of high voltage power supplies available from UK based Photon Power Technology .
