SMC's Barricade Wireless DSL Router (SMC7404WBRA) combines the kinds of high-end features that businesses demand—SPI firewall, DMZ, content filtering, and more—with the form factor and versatility demanded by residential and SOHO applications. This router will be communications central for homes and offices, providing Broadband access, wired and wireless networking, and a network print server.

Easy to set-up and maintain, the new SMC7404WBRA multi-functional router combines a DSL modem with an IEEE 802.11b-compliant Wireless Access Point, a 4-port 10/100 Mbps dual-speed switch with Automatic MDI-MDIX ports, and a parallel print server. Its built-in security and management features are top-notch: Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) firewall security with hacker attack logging, denial of service (DoS) and client filtering; web-based management; content filtering and Virtual Private Network (VPN) tunneling via L2TP, PPTP and IPSec passthrough. Clean communication with DSLAMs is ensured as well. The new SMC7404WBRA Barricade Wireless DSL Router supports G.DMT mode, as well as G.Lite, ensuring full compatibility with DSLAMs, and uses ATM over ADSL technology for transmissions to the Central Office.
